Experience
Alastair MacAulay, works on all aspects of non-contentious transportation projects and finance work across Asia and the Middle East. Clients include major financial institutions, ECAs and corporates. Alastair has experience with drafting purchase and leasing contracts, loan and security documents, management agreements, joint venture agreements, liner service and other pooling and chartering documents. In addition to practicing English and Hong Kong law, Alastair is admitted as an attorney in the Marshall Islands.

- China LNG - acted for the sponsors in the Guangdong, Fujian and Shanghai LNG Transportation Projects, both in vessel acqusition and employment contracts and in the project financing
- MR Tanker Acquisition - acted for private equity fund in the acquisition of 12 MR tankers with finance attached
- Petrovietnam - acted for the Finance Parties in a US$125 million project financing of a jack-up rig registered in Vietnam
- Calyon - acting for lenders in fleet financing for tankers and car carriers to Cido Shipping.
- RasGas 3 - acting for Japanese consortium in the successful tender and financing of 8 Q-flex LNG vessels for long term charter to Ras Laffan LNG of Qatar.
- Citibank/China Exim Bank - acting for lenders in the financing for the construction and long term charter of VLCCs to China Shipping Development.
