 | Mayer, Brown, Rowe & Maw Los Angeles Lawyers Honored for Pro Bono Service
25 April 2006, Los Angeles -- David Bolstad, Jerome Jauffret and Francisco Ochoa of Mayer, Brown, Rowe & Maw, LLP's Los Angeles office were honored with awards for their pro bono service on behalf of Colton Non-Profit Senior Housing, Inc., the owner and operator of a 110-unit low income senior housing complex located in Colton, California. The awards were presented by California Attorney General Bill Lockyer at the annual dinner of the Inland Counties Legal Services ("ICLS"), an organization which provides pro bono legal services in the Southern California counties of Riverside and San Bernardino. In addition, these three honorees have been nominated for the California State Bar's prestigious 2006 President's Pro Bono Service Award, which will be awarded in October 2006 at the California State Bar's Annual Meeting in Monterey, California. Despite the child's special needs, since early 2002, the California Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) has repeatedly turned down the Middletons' requests for increased foster care benefits to help them care for the child.
