29 January 2008 - Leading international law firm Mayer Brown has advised Entertainment One Ltd ("Entertainment One") on the acquisition by its subsidiary, Movie Associations B.V., of R.C.V. Entertainment B.V. and its subsidiaries ("R.C.V.") from Lastannet Entertainment II B.V. The deal was worth a total consideration of 41.5 million Euros (approximately œ31 million) in cash, funded by placing proceeds of œ3 million, additional senior debt facilities of 15 million Euros and œ19.6 million drawn down (with œ17 million of this used to help fund the acquisition) from a œ25 million senior subordinated exchangeable note with a yield to maturity rate of 10%. Read >>

21 June 2006, Chicago -- Mayer, Brown, Rowe & Maw LLP has advised the Big Ten Conference on media agreements that increases national coverage of Big Ten Sports. The conference signed a new 10-year national rights contract with ABC/ESPN and has reached a landmark deal with Fox Cable Networks to create the Big Ten Channel, a national network devoted to Big Ten athletic and academic programs. The ABC/ESPN contract takes effect, and the Big Ten Channel is expected to launch, in August 2007.
