Tauil & Chequer Advogados advises BTG Pactual on investment into Systemica, which focuses on carbon credit generation projects and environmental assets

Tauil & Chequer Advogados in association with Mayer Brown advised BTG Pactual on its minority investment into Systemica, a company that operates in the structuring, development and implementation of projects to generate carbon credits and other environmental assets with the goal of reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, as well as in the commercialization of such environmental assets.

According to Roberto Sallouti, CEO of BTG Pactual, in a statement to the market, "The partnership between BTG and Systemica brings together two top players, references in their respective areas, to promote the carbon credit market, still incipient in Latin America, and to create a platform for environmental assets".

Our Firm assisted the client in negotiating and drafting the transaction documents, as well as conducting due diligence on Systemica and its carbon credit generating projects.
