Tauil & Chequer Advogados advises Bunge Alimentos S.A. on the acquisition of CJ Selecta

Tauil & Chequer Advogados in association with Mayer Brown advised Bunge Alimentos S.A. on the acquisition of CJ Selecta, the world's largest producer of soy protein concentrates, with a revenue of approximately USD 900 million in 2022.

CJ Selecta is controlled by the South Korean conglomerate CJ CheilJedang, known for its diverse businesses in the food ingredients, packaged products, pharmaceuticals and biotechnology markets.

This strategic move strengthens Bunge's position in the animal feed ingredients market and expands its product portfolio in higher-margin processed products.

The Tauil & Chequer Advogados team advising Bunge was led by partners Christian Roschmann and Lilian Toscani, and included partners Francisco Todorov, Adriana Giannini and Guido Vinci, as well as associates Stefano Braga, André Pini, Isabella Giorgi, Felipe Pereira, Marcella Medved, Niandra Soares and Mariana Iecker.
