Annual Pensions Conference 2021 – Webinar Series

Our UK Pensions Group is delighted to share details of this year’s Annual Pensions Conference. Like last year, the Conference is being run as a series of weekly webinars in November and December and will explore current and upcoming pensions-related matters that we anticipate will be at the forefront of trustees’ and employers’ minds.
The webinars will take place at the same time each week, 10:00 a.m., on Wednesdays from 17 November to 8 December. Further details on each webinar are available below:
17 November: The Pensions Regulator’s consolidated code of practice – top ten tips
This webinar looks at the Pensions Regulator’s proposed new consolidated code of practice and what it means for trustees. The webinar focuses in particular on the new governance requirements that the code will introduce and sets out ten top tips to help trustees prepare for compliance with the code.

24 November: Pensions dashboards – worth the wait?
This webinar looks at what pensions dashboards are and the pensions dashboard system that will be introduced in the UK over the next few years, including the obligations to which trustees will be subject and the steps that trustees should be taking in order to prepare for the introduction of the dashboard system.

1 December: The Pensions Regulator’s enhanced powers and new notifiable events – are you transaction-ready?
This webinar will look at how trustees and employers can build a successful working relationship that minimises the risk of the Pensions Regulator becoming involved in the scheme. The webinar will focus in particular on the steps that trustees and employers should consider taking when a corporate transaction affecting the scheme is proposed to reduce the risk of the Regulator exercising its new powers under the Pension Schemes Act 2021 in relation to that transaction.

8 December: Cybersecurity issues for pension schemes
This webinar will look at the key cybersecurity issues affecting occupational pension schemes, including the documents and processes that trustees should have in place and what trustees should do when a cybersecurity breach has occurred.
