Regulatory Investigations and Disqualification Orders Against Directors by SFC
On 4 August 2022, Hong Kong Litigation & Dispute Resolution Partners Wilson Fung and Alan Linning were invited by The Hong Kong Chartered Governance Institute (HKCGI) to deliver a webinar on regulatory investigations and disqualification orders against directors by SFC.
Alan and Wilson first provided an overview of the SFC's role as a regulator and its investigation powers. They explained how investigations are conducted and shared key points to note when respond to SFC's enquiries and requests for interviews.
During the second half of the webinar, Alan and Wilson discussed the law on disqualification of listed company directors. They went through some recent cases to illustrate how the Court exercises its power in this regard. The webinar concluded with a lively interactive Q&A session.
