Supreme Court Review Speakers:
Andrew Pincus
Andrew Pincus, a partner based in Washington DC, has argued 30 cases in the U.S. Supreme Court and numerous cases in federal and state appellate courts. Appointed by Chief Justice John G. Roberts, Jr. to the Standing Committee on Rules of Practice and Procedure of the Judicial Conference of the United States, Andy also co-founded Yale Law School's Supreme Court Advocacy Clinic and served as General Counsel of the U.S. Department of Commerce. Michael Scodro
Michael is co-head of the firm’s Supreme Court & Appellate practice and argues before the US Supreme Court and federal and state appellate courts, and he often writes and speaks on issues surrounding appellate advocacy and the Court. A former law clerk to Justice Sandra Day O’Connor, he previously served as the Illinois Solicitor General, representing the State in the Supreme Court, and he teaches the course on Supreme Court advocacy as a Lecturer in Law at the University of Chicago Law School. Kimberly Hamm
Kim Hamm leads Mayer Brown's Congressional Investigations practice and provides strategic guidance to financial institutions on regulatory and legislative matters. She has held high-level government positions, including Chief Counsel to the SEC Chairman and General Counsel to the Speaker of the US House of Representatives. Warren Payne
Warren Payne assists clients with various tax and global trade issues at Mayer Brown. Previously, he served as policy director for the US House of Representatives Committee on Ways and Means, where he played a key role in major legislation, including the Tax Increase Prevention Act and the Tax Reform Act of 2014.
