Mayer Brown announced today that Carlos Robles y Zepf has joined as a partner in the firm's Corporate & Securities practice. Carlos, who joins the firm from DLA Piper, where he was global co-chair of the Chemicals sector and a member of the firm's Latin America steering committee, will work out of the Frankfurt office.
"Carlos' arrival demonstrates Mayer Brown's continued commitment to growth in Germany and the strategic expansion of key global practices and industries in the region, including M&A and private equity," said Dr. Guido Zeppenfeld, Mayer Brown's office managing partner for Germany.
Carlos has considerable experience advising on domestic and international M&A transactions, joint ventures and corporate restructurings, particularly in the chemicals, energy, real estate and life sciences sectors. He also advises boards and directors on shareholders meetings, corporate compliance and corporate governance matters. “We are pleased to welcome Carlos to our global Chemicals team," said Jean-Philippe Montfort, co-leader of Mayer Brown's global Chemicals industry group. "Mayer Brown actively advises a range of clients who operate at the heart of the global chemicals industry and the addition of an M&A lawyer with his impressive mix of sector-relevant experience will elevate our ability to continue to provide our chemical clients with the highest quality advice.”
