Mayer Brown partner Paul DiSangro named vice chair of CLA’s Tax Procedure and Litigation Committee
Mayer Brown announced that NorCal-based Tax Controversy partner Paul DiSangro has been named vice chair of the California Lawyers Association’s (CLA) Tax Procedure and Litigation Committee.
Mr. DiSangro has over two decades of experience across a range of industries including software, technology, financial services (including fintech), insurance, energy, media, pharma, biotech and retail. For his extensive experience, he has been recognized as a leading tax controversy adviser by the International Tax Review.
Outside the firm, Mr. DiSangro has authored several important works on US and international tax issues and is widely sought as a speaker and presenter at professional tax seminars and symposia. For example, he organizes the annual Tax Controversy Seminar in Silicon Valley with the Tax Executives Institute.
In addition to his involvement at professional programs, he has taught international tax classes as an adjunct professor at the LLM level.
The Committee, a part of CLA’s Taxation Section, is comprised of California tax practitioners and federal and state government attorneys who handle administrative and judicial tax matters. CLA is a nonprofit, member-driven, mission-focused organization dedicated to the professional advancement of attorneys practicing in the state of California.
