Mayer Brown grows international arbitration practice with new partner hire in Singapore

International Arbitration partners Yu-Jin Tay and Kay-Jannes Wegner (both Singapore) were mentioned in FinanceAsia, which reported that the recruitment of Kay-Jannes coincides with a strong uptick in Mayer Brown’s LNG and energy involvement, as well as construction and infrastructure-related arbitrations.

"The energy and construction sectors for the firm involve big ticket, high stake, cross-border disputes which uniquely require a deep bench of partner level expertise combining arbitration skills, sector knowledge and strong geographical or cultural familiarity on the ground," Yu-Jin said, adding that he expects the Korean clients and Korea-related arbitrations to continue to form a major part of the practice.
