Mayer Brown partners receive Corporate Counsel’s 2024 Women, Influence & Power in Law Awards
Mayer Brown partners Anna Pinedo and Joanna Horsnail were recognized by Corporate Counsel in its 2024 Women, Influence & Power in Law Awards. The annual awards honor in-house and law firm women leaders and allies who demonstrate “a commitment to advancing the empowerment of women in law,” according to the publication.
Anna, a partner in Mayer Brown’s Capital Markets practice, was recognized in the “Lifetime Achievement” category. Anna’s career achievements include working with clients to develop innovative offering methodologies, like the registered direct offering and other hybrid offering alternatives, and new financial products, including various structured products, representing the industry before Congress, and co-authoring the essential Corporate Finance and the Securities Laws treatise. Beyond her well-recognized professional achievements, Anna’s dedication to mentoring young women is an important aspect of her career.
Joanna, managing partner of the firm’s Chicago office, received a “Managing Partner of the Year” award. She plays an indelible role in leading the firm’s largest office, which is also one of the largest law offices in Chicago. Joanna has helped launch several programs and initiatives in the office and is focused on building upon the firm’s commitment to civic engagement in the community. The Chicago managing partner role is the latest in a series of high-profile leadership roles Joanna has assumed on behalf of the firm.
