MAYER BROWN PARTNER STEPHANIE HURST NAMED TO LA BUSINESS FIRST'S "WOMEN OF INFLUENCE" LIST

Mayer Brown partner Stephanie Hurst has been selected to the LA Business First’s 2024 list of “Women of Influence,” which “recognizes women making an impact both professionally and personally” in the Los Angeles community.

Stephanie is recognized as a go-to lawyer for California-based companies, seeking counsel on corporate-related ESG matters, as well as for national and international clients on US and California climate-related disclosure laws and California’s digital asset laws. She is also passionate about pro bono, with her most recent project involving assisting women minority entrepreneurs achieve “certified B Corp” status through a partnership with B LAB US & Canada. In addition, she has advised clients on a variety of M&A transactions, and notably, she has acted as the lead or co-lead counsel on transactions valued at nearly $1.75 billion over the past two years.

Stephanie also serves on Mayer Brown’s hiring committee and plays a pivotal role in summer associate recruiting. She was instrumental in increasing the diversity of the Los Angeles office, which is now considered one of the firm’s most diverse offices.

Outside the firm, Stephanie co-founded and co-leads one of the Los Angeles Venture Association’s newest communities – Web3 LAVA, which aims to bring Web3 innovations and investment opportunities to LAVA members through forums and tech-centric private events. She is also involved in the Los Angeles-based women’s organization, THE XX PROJECT.
