Overview
Jim Antonopoulos is a partner in Mayer Brown’s Chicago office and a member of the Banking & Finance practice and concentrates his practice in structured finance. He represents sponsors and issuers in US public and private issuances of term asset-backed securities, borrowers in warehouse loan and asset-backed commercial paper conduit facilities, and sellers and purchasers in whole loan sales and forward flow transactions in the prime and subprime automobile and equipment (heavy-duty and medium-duty trucks, buses, and agricultural and construction equipment) loan and lease asset classes. He also advises sponsors, issuers, underwriters, and initial purchasers in public and private issuances of asset-backed securities secured by dealer floorplan loans, credit card receivables, and billboard assets. Furthermore, Jim’s practice has included representing third-party servicers in connection with term securitization transactions and warehouse facilities involving automobile loans and leases and initial purchasers in private issuances of asset-backed securities secured by agricultural and construction loans.
Jim was named a 2019 “Client Service All-Star” by BTI Consulting Group.
