Overview
Zach Carrier is a partner in the Banking & Finance practice of the Chicago office representing banks, funds and other entities in structured finance transactions, warehouse securitization facilities, purchases and sales of financial assets and related matters.
Zach regularly represents clients in connection with securitizations and other structured financings involving trade receivables, auto and equipment loans and leases, secured and unsecured consumer debt, commercial loans and a variety of other financial assets. He has particularly deep experience advising banks and other financial institutions with respect to trade receivables securitizations, including those with letter of credit sub-facilities, cross-border and cross-currency features, credit insurance support and off-balance sheet structures. He also focuses a substantial portion of his practice advising aggregators, borrowers and lenders with respect to purchasing, divesting, servicing and financing a variety of performing and non-performing consumer loan portfolios. Zach regularly advises clients in connection with “marketplace” loan transactions, including purchase and servicing arrangements, charge-off liquidations and acquisitions, fractional and participation investments, back-up servicing, verification and custodial arrangements, multi-party agreements, cash management arrangements, warehouse financings, securitization take-outs and trust arrangements. Zach also represents clients in connection with securitizations and other financings of wireless device retail installment contracts, leases and “post-paid” service contract receivables.
