Overview
Issuers, borrowers, underwriters, lenders, investors, insurance companies and financial institutional clients rely on Carmel Joseph to assist them in a broad range of repurchase agreements, warehouse lending, servicing and securitization transactions. She advises on financing residential mortgage loans, non-performing loans, re-performing loans, single family rental properties, mortgage servicing rights and servicing advances.
Experience
- Advise clients in structuring and negotiating private and public asset backed securities offerings.
- Advise clients in structuring and negotiating one-off and flow asset purchase arrangements or a variety of mortgage assets.
- Advise clients in the formation, maintenance and termination of various mortgage trusts.
- Conduct diligence with respect to mergers and acquisitions involving mortgage companies.
- Advised mortgage lenders in the acquisition and refinancing of multifamily properties insured under the Fair Housing Act at previous law firm.
- Served as a judicial law clerk for the Connecticut Superior Courts.
