Overview
Jack Lowndes acts for a wide range of clients, advising employers, contractors, consultants and insurers in relation to all forms of construction related disputes. A significant part of his work involves advising insurers and professionals on the defence of professional indemnity claims. Jack has represented clients in complex multi-party litigation in the High Court, mediations and adjudications.
Separately, Jack also advises solicitors and their insurers in relation to professional negligence allegations.
Experience
- Advising a number of Design & Build contractors in the UK on the management of their fire-safety risk liability programmes, following the Grenfell Tower tragedy in 2017. This has included advancing complex professional negligence claims via mediation and adjudication.
- Defended a claim against a surveyor in multi-party TCC proceedings regarding a fire at a Grade I listed property, where the damages claimed were in excess of £100m.
