Overview

Nathan McMichael is a senior partner in the Real Estate practice. His practice focuses on structuring and executing complex transactional real estate matters, with an emphasis on joint ventures, financings, acquisitions and dispositions. Nathan’s clients include private equity and opportunity funds, developers-sponsors, insurance companies, real estate investment advisors, pension funds and pension fund advisors, banks, asset managers and other capital providers. He has extensive experience in all types of equity and debt transactions involving a wide variety of asset classes, including multifamily, build to rent single family, data centers, industrial, manufactured housing, marinas, senior living, self-storage, office (commercial and medical), hotels, casinos, resorts, and shopping centers.

Experience

  • Represented multi-billion dollar opportunity fund in various joint venture transactions involving the development and financing of multifamily apartment, industrial, single family residential, and independent living projects across the United States.
  • Represented a state pension fund manager in the formation of a programmatic joint venture and acquisition of a multi-state portfolio of medical office facilities.
  • Represented a real estate investment fund in the formation of multiple joint ventures with prominent apartment builders to acquire and develop multi-family apartment projects, with related construction financing.
  • Represented a private equity investment firm in the joint venture with a leading real estate investment and development firm operator to buy single family home and townhome projects from homebuilders for rental, and related construction financings.
