Overview
Ora is Mayer Brown’s Antitrust & Competition Law Knowledge Counsel for the United States. In this role he collaborates on business development, thought leadership, attorney training, and technology and innovation initiatives. He identifies emerging legal issues and trends relating to competition law, conceives of and executes the publication of internal and external thought leadership media, and assists in the production of targeted trainings and presentations for in-house counsel and businesses executives. Ora also produces presentations that enhance the firm’s profile and add value to Mayer Brown clients. He also works to develop the internal training programs for antitrust associates and works to integrate the antitrust practice into broader firm strategies and departments, such as business development, technology, public relations, and legal project management.
Prior to assuming this role, Ora was a senior attorney at the US Department of Justice Antitrust Division, Am Law 50 law firms, and a boutique firm where he represented State Attorneys General. During that time Ora split his time evenly between merger clearance, counseling, and litigation, including actual trial work. Prior to entering law practice, Ora was an M&A banker at a top global investment bank.
