Overview
Financial institutions and large corporations in a variety of industries turn to Jennifer Rosa for representation in complex commercial and securities litigation in federal and state courts, as well as in government agency proceedings and internal investigations. Jenn concentrates on the areas of banking and financial services, including actions involving alleged violations of the securities laws and antitrust laws, breach of contract, and allegations of fraud or misrepresentation in the sale of complex financial instruments such as residential mortgage-backed securities (“RMBS”), foreign exchange products, and other derivative instruments.
Experience
Represented:
- A leading global bank against allegations that the bank assisted a rogue foreign exchange trader in concealing more than $700 million in foreign exchange trading losses.
- A leading global bank against allegations of securities law violations arising out of its issuance and underwriting of $6.2 billion of residential mortgage-backed securities.
- A major financial services company and various of its banking and broker-dealer affiliates against claims by monoline insurers alleging aiding and abetting fraud of various subsidiaries in connection with their sponsoring of residential mortgage-backed securities transactions and breach of contract claims in connection with the governing transactional documents.
