Bill’s patent experience includes prosecution before the USPTO, defending and enforcing patents in proceedings at the U.S. Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB), and litigation of patents in U.S. Federal Courts and at the International Trade Commission (ITC).

Prosecution
- Managed global trademark portfolios, including drafting trademark clearance opinions, filing, prosecuting, and maintaining U.S. and foreign marks.
- Advised clients regarding worldwide trademark strategy.
- Corresponded with foreign counsel regarding international watch notices, oppositions, and responses to office actions.
- Responded to office actions in ex parte reexamination proceedings before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
Litigation
- Advised clients regarding the likelihood of success in pursuing enforcement actions before the U.S. Trademark Trial and Appeals Board (TTAB) and U.S. Federal Courts.
- Prosecuted and defend trademark infringement claims in opposition and cancellation proceedings before the TTAB
- Prosecuted and defend numerous successful Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy (UDRP) proceedings before the World Intellectual Property Office (WIPO).
