Indiana has represented both domestic and international clients in complex and large-scale litigation matters before various Australian Courts, and she also has experience advising a range of stakeholders in the construction and infrastructure sectors in alternate forms of dispute resolution including arbitration, mediation, expert determination and adjudication.
Experience
- Representing a hard facilities management contractor in multiple arbitral proceedings relating to alleged defects and the improper levying of abatements arising from the design, construction and maintenance of a hospital.*
- Acting for a design and construct contractor for a Light Rail Project in various expert determinations and arbitrations regarding the alleged overpayment of costs under a Joint Venture Agreement and the alleged over-design of certain elements of the Project.*
- Representing Fluor Corporation and Fluor Australia Pty Ltd in the Supreme Court of Queensland in respect of proceedings regarding alleged overpayments under a head contract, and various subcontracts, for the construction of the GLNG Plant in South-east Queensland.*
- Advising Co-Owners of a mixed-use commercial redevelopment in relation to significant contractual claims arising from alleged delays and the identification of hazardous materials during construction.*
