Consumer Financial Services Breakfast Briefing

We are excited to announce the restart of our monthly Consumer Financial Services (CFS) Breakfast Briefing series in Mayer Brown’s New York office. On Thursday, March 9, please join us for our first topic, “Commercial Financing Disclosure Rules and New York’s Commercial Finance Disclosure Law (CFDL).”

Mayer Brown’s CFS group recently wrote about the final commercial financing disclosure rules that were adopted by the NYDFS on February 1, 2023. Please join us for a briefing on the important changes regarding the New York nexus required to trigger the CFDL, exemptions for depository institution subsidiaries, and the content of required disclosures, among others. We will also cover what providers of commercial financing—including closed- and open-end loans, merchant cash advances, finance leases, and factoring transactions, at minimum—should do to finalize their procedures to ensure that they can deliver final rule-compliant disclosures to New York recipients starting on August 1 of this year.
