Mayer Brown partner Ann Richardson Knox receives FFA’s Dee Dee Sklar Women in Fund Finance Award
Mayer Brown announced that New York-based partner Ann Richardson Knox, the global leader of the firm’s Fund Finance team, has been selected as the 2021 recipient of the Fund Finance Association (FFA)’s “Dee Dee Sklar Women in Fund Finance Award.”
Practicing as a finance lawyer for over two decades, Ms. Knox has also paved the way for women in the fund finance market. She has served as the co-head of FFA’s Women in Fund Finance US Committee since its inception. According to FFA, Ms. Knox’s enthusiasm for Women in Fund Finance has been a driving force behind the success of its mandate to increase engagement, recognition and the promotion of women within the alternative investment fund finance industry.
At the firm, Ms. Knox focuses her practice on structuring complex leveraged financings to US and global private funds, sponsors and portfolio companies while representing both financial institutions and funds. Her vast experience encompasses financings at every level of the capital stack and every phase of a fund’s existence.
Launched in 2018, the annual award recognizes members of the fund finance community who embody the mission of the Women in Fund Finance initiative and demonstrate their commitment to helping women succeed through connection, education and professional advocacy.
