Mayer Brown appoints Aaron Murdock to lead Salt Lake City office

Salt Lake City – Underscoring Mayer Brown’s commitment to fostering innovation and growth within the Utah community, Aaron Murdock has been named managing partner of its Salt Lake City office. Aaron succeeds partner Ward Johnson, who has led the office since its inception and remains managing partner of the firm’s Northern California offices in Palo Alto and San Francisco.

A distinguished partner in the firm’s Emerging Companies & Venture Capital practice, Aaron has a 20-year history in the Utah market working with startups, high growth technology companies and venture capital funds, and has advised on a number of Utah’s most notable transactions. He is highly regarded for his experience in venture capital transactions, corporate governance, search investments, private equity, and mergers and acquisitions. Aaron has been with Mayer Brown since 2022, playing a pivotal role in the development of the Salt Lake City office.
