Share
Tauil & Chequer Advogados in association with Mayer Brown acted as legal advisors to ENGIE in structuring a power self-production project in partnership with Sylvamo, a company in the pulp and paper industry, with wind farms of the Serra do Assuruá Wind Complex in the State of Bahia.
The electric energy of this project will be sufficient to supply 60% of the power demand of Sylvamo's consumer unit located in Mogi Guaçu, in the State of São Paulo. With this initiative, Sylvamo will reduce its greenhouse gas emissions in approximately 5% per year, reinforcing its commitment towards its sustainability targets.
The team was led by partners Débora Yanasse and Bruno Salzano, with the support of associates Luísa Tortolano Barreto and Guilherme Galiazzi, all from the Global Energy practice.
