With almost ten years of extensive experience in Intellectual Property, Ana Leticia Allevato provides clients with strategic consultation and management of IP portfolios, ensuring robust protection and effective enforcement strategies both locally and globally. She is particularly adept at integrating emerging technologies and innovations into IP strategies, including patent-related matters. Ana Leticia is actively involved in IP litigation, representing clients in cases involving intellectual property rights, such as patents, trademarks, trade dress, unfair competition, and matters in franchise and fashion law across various judicial levels.

In transactional matters, Ana Leticia specializes in drafting, negotiating, and analyzing contracts related to trademark licensing, copyrights, industrial designs, NDAs, franchise and distribution agreements, coexistence agreements, and judicial settlements. Her proficiency also includes comprehensive due diligence in intellectual property matters.

Ana Leticia also advises on advertising regulation and addresses issues of false or misleading advertising, advocating for clients before CONAR (National Council for Advertising Self-Regulation) when required.

A recipient of the International Trademark Association (INTA) Tomorrow’s Leader Award, Ana Leticia actively contributes to the association as Vice-Chair of the Research Advisory Council and serves on the Young Practitioners Committee. Additionally, she contributes to the Fashion Law Committee of the Brazilian Bar Association (Rio de Janeiro branch).

Availability searches and portfolio management for trademarks of the third-largest pharmaceutical laboratory in Brazil.
Obtained trademark registration for a similar mark in the same class of products on behalf of an American chemical company after negotiating the restriction of the scope of a prior third-party registration.
Developed IP asset defense strategies for a well-known Italian fashion house and a French hospitality group.
Negotiated and drafted a sell-off agreement on behalf of a leading American direct sales cosmetics company.
Successfully defended a language school franchisee in a lawsuit over alleged violation of a non-compete clause.
Negotiated a court settlement on behalf of a major Brazilian dental supplier.
