Marina Hartnett represents institutional banks, financial institutions, asset managers, and investment managers on commercial real estate loans and transactions. Having previously served as consultant and counsel for an investment bank, Marina is experienced in reviewing and negotiating securitizations, loan sales, loan repurchase facilities, and other transactions.
Marina also worked for twelve years with a leading alternative investment manager in the Real Estate Debt group. While there, she managed over 600 commercial real estate investments worth over $4 billion in loan commitments on behalf of a public REIT, private funds, and separate managed accounts. Asset types included multifamily, office, retail, hotel, self-storage, and industrial properties. The investments included senior loans, mezzanine, and preferred equity investments. She assisted with originating both CLO and CMBS transactions.
Marina began her career as a Trust Officer with a leading bank in Chicago. In this role, she worked extensively with distressed structured finance products such as CDOs and RMBS products, including default issues and collateral liquidations.
