As a native Korean speaker, he also regularly advises Korean clients on a broad range of corporate, commercial and dispute-related matters, particularly in the infrastructure and transport sectors.

• Advised PT PLN on numerous export credit financings for the construction of conventional and renewable energy projects representing an aggregate capacity in excess of 5GW with support from Canadian, Italian, Finnish, Polish, Czech, Hungarian, Japanese, Korean and Chinese export credit agencies.
• Advised two multilateral development banks as lenders on the project financing of a 115MW HFO-fired power project in Bangladesh developed by a Korean sponsor.
• Advised MUFG, HSBC and SMBC on the financing of a 600MW power plant in Vietnam provided to a state-owned electricity utility with support from K-Sure.
• Advised Asian Development Bank as lender on the project financing of a portfolio of wind and solar power projects in India with a total capacity of 475MW.
• Advised a Korean trading company as sponsor on the development of a gas-fired power project in Myanmar.

Infrastructure

• Advised Hyundai Motor Group Innovation Center in Singapore (HMGICS) on all legal aspects of the development of Hyundai Motor Group’s state-of-the-art R&D and electric vehicle manufacturing facility in Singapore including construction, procurement, projects, intellectual property, data protection, regulatory and employment.
• Advised Citibank, ANZ, Banco Santander, ING Bank and Standard Chartered Bank as lenders on a US$548 million and EUR100 million dual tranche facility to Kia Motors with support from K-Sure for the construction of a US$1.1 billion automobile manufacturing facility in India.
• Advised the lenders on the project financing of a $1.3 billion desalination independent water project in the UAE procured by a state-owned water utility.
• Advised the sponsors on a S$1.5 billion refinancing of a multi-purpose sports stadium in Singapore.
• Advised a sponsor consortium on their bid to Malaysia HSR Corporation and Singapore HSR to develop the Kuala Lumpur-Singapore High Speed Rail PPP Project.

Oil & Gas

• Advised Petronas and PTT as sponsors on the US$195 million refinancing by HSBC, SMBC and the Bank of Ayudhya in respect of Phase I of the onshore and offshore gas pipeline project located in the Malaysia-Thailand Joint Development Area sponsored by Petronas and PTT.
• Advised Pertamina EP Cepu on the Jambaran Tiung Biru (JTB) Gas Field Unitization Project in Indonesia.
