Prior to joining Mayer Brown, Justin was an associate in the Intellectual Property and Dispute Resolution departments of a leading domestic Singapore firm. His holistic approach ensures that clients receive practical advice tailored to achieving to their commercial goals.

  • Represented a renowned multinational video game developer/publisher in a dispute against a prominent rival video game developer/publisher, seeking to protect and enforce the client’s video game intellectual property via copyright infringement and passing off. Recognised as Impact Deal and Case of the Year: Riot Games v NetEase Interactive Entertainment by Asialaw Awards 2023.*
  • Represented an industry leader and local manufacturer of synthetic diamonds in an appeal against findings of liability in a patent infringement suit in the case of IIa Technologies Pte Ltd v Element Six Technologies Ltd [2023] 1 SLR 987.*
  • Represented an internet technology company in an appeal against a trademark opposition in the case of V V Technology Pte Ltd v Twitter, Inc [2023] 5 SLR 513.*
  • Acted for an acclaimed fitness/lifestyle content creator and YouTube personality in matters of copyright infringement, trademark infringement, passing off, and defamation.*
  • Advised the developer/publisher of an online football video game in a dispute against an established European football league in matters of copyright infringement, trademark infringement, and passing off.*
