Neil Wasserstrom is Managing Partner of Mayer Brown's Houston office. He regularly counsels clients in the areas of real estate and energy. In the course of his practice, Neil handles all aspects of commercial real estate, including representing public and private real estate operating companies, REITs, institutional developers, insurance companies, pension fund advisors and home builders in acquiring, developing, leasing, managing, financing and selling all types of properties, including multi-family projects, shopping centers, industrial parks, office buildings, residential developments, extended-stay hotels, student housing facilities, senior assisted-living facilities and undeveloped properties in single-asset and portfolio transactions throughout the United States.
Neil also assists clients in the context of foreclosures and restructurings of troubled real estate. In addition, he represents developers and owners in the energy sector engaged in developing, acquiring and selling energy projects.
