DOJ’s new data security rule implementing Executive Order 14117 is effective April 8, and the Administration has offered no signal that it will be delayed (unlike other rules). In our first webinar on the topic in October, we provided an overview on the NPRM that largely was adopted as the final rule. We then analyzed the changes in the final rule here. In this second webinar on the topic, we’ll take a deeper dive into compliance and due diligence questions raised by the rule, so that you can be prepared for when the rule goes into effect. We’ll cover topics like developing a data map, standard contractual clauses for intracompany and vendor agreements, analyzing exemptions, and applying the security requirements.
