Mayer Brown partner Nicole Saharsky named among Washingtonian’s “Most Powerful Women”
Mayer Brown partner Nicole Saharsky, co-leader of the firm’s Supreme Court & Appellate Practice, was named to Washingtonian’s 2021 list of “Most Powerful Women.” The list highlights the Washington DC region's most influential women in business, law, government, medicine, education, media, nonprofits, and the arts.
Ms. Saharsky, named in the Legal Powers category, is a leading appellate lawyer who focuses her practice on briefing and arguing cases in the US Supreme Court and in the federal and state appellate courts. She is currently serving as lead appellate counsel for the US Women's National Team in their equal-pay lawsuit against the US Soccer Federation.
Ms. Saharsky has argued more cases in the Supreme Court than any other woman in the past decade, having argued 30 cases, briefed 46 cases on the merits, and filed hundreds of certiorari-stage briefs and motions.
Before joining the firm, Ms. Saharsky served for ten years as an Assistant to the Solicitor General in the United States Department of Justice.
