The new book provides a practical guide to legal developments in the field of secured finance
London — Lawyers from Mayer Brown's Banking & Finance, Real Estate Finance, Restructuring and IP practices have co-authored several chapters of Secured Finance Transactions published by Globe Law and Business publication. The book, which is now in its second edition, draws on the firm's domestic and international financing transactions expertise to provide a practical guide to the latest legal developments in secured finance.
Edited by Mayer Brown Banking & Finance partner and London Managing Partner, Dominic Griffiths, Secured Finance Transactions covers:
- the taking of security interests over key business assets;
- the application of security in the context of a variety of different transaction types; and
- the characteristics of secured transactions in core emerging and developing markets.
“This has been the most remarkable opportunity to work with lawyers from across our network and practices, together with other experts in their field, to deliver what I hope will be an informative and useful guide to all those with an interest in the area," said Dominic Griffiths, Mayer Brown London managing partner. "The intent was to produce a practical guide to the intricacies of the law on security, the manner in which security interests are formed and enforced and some flavour on their usage in different transaction types and countries. I am immensely grateful for the contributions of my fellow authors”,
Mayer Brown has considerable global experience in lending transactions. The firm's capabilities includes investment-grade and leveraged lending transactions, acquisition financings, working capital loans, asset-based and cash flow financings, numerous types of fund finance facilities, first lien/second lien financings, multicurrency financings, dividend recaps and debt restructurings.
