Litigator of the Week Runners-Up and Shout Outs

One last shout out goes to Andy Pincus, Brian Kittle and their team at Mayer Brown for their work securing an appellate tax win for Liberty Street LLC and its partners, including GSS Holdings Inc., and Scotia Bank. The Federal Circuit last week found that the U.S. Court of Federal Claims inappropriately applied a hybrid legal standard when considering the Internal Revenue Service’s disallowance of a certain loss deduction.
