Alastair advises private equity firms, investment funds, corporates and other financial investors on a broad range of corporate and funds-related matters including domestic and cross-border M&A, joint ventures, fund formations, fund investments, co-investments and secondary transactions.
Alastair has a wide range of experience across multiple industry sectors with a particular focus on real estate and private equity real estate. He is recognised as a key lawyer by The Legal 500 UK 2024 for Real Estate.
Alastair has recently served clients such as British Land Plc, Bain Capital Credit L.P., M3 Capital Partners, Arch Street Capital Advisors and Pernod Ricard S.A.
Expérience
Recent experience includes advising:
- Bain Capital Credit, L.P. on the acquisition of 80% of AQ Compute and the resulting joint venture with the Aquila Group to build a leading European sustainable data centre platform with a targeted multi-billion Euro investment volume.
- British Land Plc on its disposal of 75% of its holding in the Paddington Central Campus, London, to GIC for circa £694 million (representing a gross asset value of £936 million) and the resulting joint venture with GIC.
- M3 Capital Partners on its disposal of the Extra motorway services platform (one of the largest motorway service area providers in the UK) to a consortium of institutional investors.
- Bain Capital Credit, L.P. on its circa €600 million European platform joint venture with Conren Tramway, the joint venture will invest in logistics assets with a particular focus on Spain and Portugal.
- Bain Capital Credit, L.P. on its circa €700 million joint venture with Neinor Homes.
