In his financial services regulatory practice, Wilson represents clients in investigations by the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) into various types of alleged market misconduct activities as well as possible misconduct by SFC’s licensees.

Wilson worked as in-house counsel at the Securities and Futures Commission for over three years. He speaks English, Cantonese and Mandarin. He has served clients including HSBC, Hang Seng Bank, China Construction Bank (Asia), Swire Properties and Sun Hung Kai Properties.

  • The Securities and Futures Commission (as in house counsel) in applying for an order to freeze the assets of Hontex International Holdings Company Limited and its subsidiaries and successfully obtained an order requiring Hontex to repurchase its shares from its public shareholders.
  • The Securities and Futures Commission (as in house counsel) in successfully obtaining an order to freeze the assets of two ex-directors of GOME Electrical Appliances Holdings Limited.
  • The Securities and Futures Commission (as in house counsel) in successfully opposing a judicial review application by an entity registered with the Securities and Futures Commission in relation to disclosure of documents and right to be heard in the disciplinary proceedings against the entity.
