Daniel K. Storino

Dan’s antitrust practice spans a variety of products and industries including health care, insurance, industrial chemicals, agricultural products, fertilizers, oil and gas, and the hospitality industry. He has extensive experience representing domestic and multinational corporations, health insurers, dental insurers, and health care organizations in cases alleging monopolization, price-fixing, tying, resale price maintenance, market allocation, and exclusive dealing. Dan also counsels clients on antitrust compliance and other business practices.

In addition to his antitrust work, Dan advises and represents health insurers, dental insurers, life and disability insurers, and hospital systems in commercial disputes, contract negotiations, and other litigation matters. The Chicago Daily Law Bulletin named him to its “40 Under 40” list and praised his “reputation as one of the city’s top antitrust and health care litigators.”

Dan also regularly represents domestic and multinational corporations in complex commercial litigation matters involving breach of contract, joint venture disputes, trademark infringement, tortious interference, non-competition agreements, and exclusivity agreements.

Dan previously served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Susan H. Black of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.

• Defended an international hotel company in a multi-district antitrust litigation alleging resale price maintenance.
• Defended an international manufacturer of fertilizer and agricultural products in a multi-district antitrust litigation alleging a global price-fixing conspiracy.
• Defended an international energy company in a price-gouging investigation conducted by the Illinois Attorney General’s Office.
• Represented a global investment firm in a joint venture dispute and obtained a judgment worth more than $150 million for the client.
• Represented a major software company in a multimillion dollar trademark litigation.
• Obtained a $60 million judgment for an international bank in a dispute involving a swaps and derivatives agreement.
• Represented three affiliates of the Sprint Corporation in multiple cases involving their exclusivity rights.
