- RWE Clean Energy in its joint venture with Peabody (NYSE: BTU) to strategically advance renewable energy projects by repurposing reclaimed land previously used for mining.
- CDPQ in connection with Digital Bridge’s additional preferred equity investment in Vertical Bridge and related re-negotiation of joint venture arrangements between CDPQ and Digital Bridge, in connection with Vertical Bridge’s transaction with Verizon to lease, operate and manage 6,339 wireless communications towers across all 50 states and Washington DC from subsidiaries of Verizon for approximately $3.3 billion.
- Google, in its: $5.4 billion acquisition of Mandiant, Inc. and related transactions with Blackstone and other private equity sponsors; $4.5 billion transaction with Jio Platforms, including investment and governance arrangements, and commercial; and agreements to develop an affordable smartphone with an optimized operating system.
- Japan Tobacco, in its: acquisition of the Vector Group Ltd.; joint venture with the Altria Group to market and commercialize heated tobacco-stick products in the United States; $5 billion acquisition of the non-US operations of Natural American Spirit from Reynolds American; acquisition of Logic Technology, a leading US e-cigarette brand.
