Nayara is an associate in the Energy and Mergers & Acquisitions practices at Tauil & Chequer Advogados associated with Mayer Brown, based in the Rio de Janeiro office. She advises domestic and international companies on the structuring of projects in various infrastructure sectors, including power generation and transmission, oil and gas, gas-to-power, energy transition, and logistics (railways, ports, and highways).

Nayara has experience advising domestic and international mobility companies, covering metro systems and urban mobility with electric vehicles. Her work includes drafting, reviewing, and negotiating purchase, lease, and maintenance contracts for vehicles, as well as contracts for the installation of the necessary infrastructure for their operation.

She specializes in the preparation, review, and negotiation of various contracts, such as EPC and EPC-M contracts, operation and maintenance agreements, capacity reservation agreements, dredging, engineering, leasing, supply, and service agreements. Additionally, she has expertise in structuring carbon credit purchase and sale contracts, addressing the needs of energy transition and sustainability projects.

Nayara also assists her clients in contract management, particularly in claims, risk assessments, and defining mitigation strategies.

Before her current position, she worked as an in-house counsel at a major construction company, gaining extensive experience in infrastructure projects such as data centers, transmission lines, and solar, wind, and thermal power plants. She played a key role in LNG-to-power projects at the Port of Açu in Rio de Janeiro, contributing directly to the development and implementation of the largest combined-cycle thermoelectric complex in Latin America, providing strategic support across all phases, from structuring to management and negotiation of contractual claims.
