Clients turn to Kate Watlington for her experience advising financial institutions, sponsors, and developers in all phases of domestic and international energy and infrastructure projects from project origination through financial close. Kate has significant experience on complex multi-sourced project financings involving large syndicates of ECAs and commercial banks, with a particular focus on energy and power projects including LNG to power, wind, solar, and geothermal projects. 

Kate leverages her global experience, having practiced in Singapore, Hong Kong, and the United States, to provide innovative solutions to developers, financiers and investors on projects spanning Asia-Pacific, North America and EMEA.

  • Project sponsors in a successful bid for the development of a 1600MW combined-cycle gas turbine power plant and floating storage regasification unit in West Java, Indonesia.
  • Sponsors in the project development and financing of a 1,000MW coal fired power plant in West Java, Indonesia.
  • Lenders in the financing of the Sarulla geothermal power project in Northern Sumatra, Indonesia.
  • A lender in the refinancing of a 20MW wind project in Alaska.
