Christopher Watts is a senior associate in Mayer Brown’s Houston office and a member of the Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice. Christopher began his career at Mayer Brown after graduating from law school, but parted with the firm to start his own litigation practice focused primarily on probate and family law matters. Having returned to Mayer Brown, Christopher’s practice focuses on civil litigation in state and federal courts as well as arbitration.
Christopher regularly litigates a variety of complex commercial matters spanning an assortment of issues, including a range of energy matters. In particular, Christopher has represented clients in disputes involving breach of contract, fraud, ERISA, insurance litigation, internal investigations, toxic torts, and intellectual property. In addition to commercial matters, Christopher’s practice also includes working with clients to manage and identify cybersecurity and data privacy risks; responding to data breach incidents; and an increasing attention to government requirements related to critical infrastructure in the energy sector.
