John Tormey serves clients on domestic and international project finance and development, as well as single asset and portfolio acquisitions and divestitures. John represents clients in transactions involving various complex financing structures, including:

Syndicated commercial bank debt
Export credit agency
Government-guaranteed financing and risk insurance programs
Multilateral lending agency programs

He represents clients in all aspects of the development, acquisition, and financing of various types of energy-related and energy transition assets, including electric-generating facilities, gas pipelines, LNG facilities, transmission lines, carbon capture and sequestration projects, and hydrogen production projects. John offers clients his previous experience serving as senior counsel and legal advisor at Constellation Energy Group, Inc. for the development, acquisition, and divestiture of nuclear, geothermal, wind, coal, and gas-fired electric-generating projects and the finance, commercial, corporate and regulatory compliance matters for the company's non-nuclear generation fleet.

John previously served as a partner at another leading international law firm.
