Mayer Brown advised HOERBIGER on the acquisition of JOHNSON MATTHEY Piezo Products GmbH in Redwitz an der Rodach, Germany.
JOHNSON MATTHEY Piezo Products GmbH is a world leading company in the field of piezo technology. The firm develops and manufactures piezoceramics, piezoelectric actuators, electromechanical modules and systems (actuator, sensor) as well as ultrasonic atomizers for customer-specific applications.
For more than 30 years, HOERBIGER has been sourcing one of its most important components for HOERBIGER Piezo Technology from the specialist manufacturer in Redwitz an der Rodach. The piezo valves are used in respirators, semiconductor manufacturing, mechanical engineering and the process industry. This acquisition secures strong growth and product portfolio expansion of the market segment HOERBIGER Flow Control, based in Altenstadt, Germany.
HOERBIGER is active worldwide in the process, automotive, mechanical engineering, electrical industries and safety engineering sector. In 2021, its 5,862 employees achieved sales of 1.119 billion euros in 131 locations across 46 countries.
