Mayer Brown is part of the deal team honored with Proximo’s 2022 “North America Roads Deal of the Year” award for its role advising on the $1.8 billion financing for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s (PennDOT) Major Bridges Public-Private Partnership (P3) Package One Project.
Led by partners Stephanie Wagner and Nick Vallorano, the Mayer Brown team acted as underwriter’s counsel to Wells Fargo Bank, National Association and J.P. Morgan Securities LLC for the issuance of approximately $1.8 billion in private activity bonds for package one of PennDOT’s Major Bridges P3 program. Package one will support Pennsylvania’s interstate transportation system by replacing six bridges across the Commonwealth. This is the largest issuance of surface transportation private activity bonds ever.
