LITIGATOR OF THE WEEK RUNNERS-UP AND SHOUT-OUTS

Shout-out to a Mayer Brown team led by intellectual property partner Clayton McCraw that secured a win this week for Nespresso USA Inc. at the Patent Trial and Appeal Board. The PTAB issued two final written decisions canceling every claim of two patents for barcoded portion capsules held by K-fee System that Nespresso challenged in inter partes reviews. The Mayer Brown team also included partner Amanda Bonner and associate Shantelle Lafayette.
