Geral
Allison Aviki represents clients in litigating copyright, trademark, trade dress, and trade secret disputes in courts across the country—both at the trial and appellate level.
Allison has experience in all phases of litigation, from pre-filing investigations through appeals, including managing fact discovery, expert discovery, summary judgment, trial, and settlement negotiations. Her trial experience includes conducting cross-examinations of witnesses in court; taking and defending fact, 30(b)(6), and expert witness depositions; obtaining the complete exclusion of an opposing damages expert in a software copyright case involving hundreds of millions of dollars in damages; and securing the denial of a preliminary injunction motion in a decision that Law360 named one of the top trademark rulings of the year. Her appellate experience includes representing clients in the Ninth Circuit, Eleventh Circuit, Federal Circuit, and District of Columbia Circuit, as well as in the Supreme Court of the United States, where she has filed amicus briefs and served clients as both cert-stage and merits counsel. She regularly advises high-profile companies in industries ranging from food and beverage to publishing, media, and entertainment. Her pro bono work focuses on civil rights and veterans issues.
