Marcella Barganz is counsel in the Legal Risk Management group in Mayer Brown’s New York office. Marcella advises on risk management strategy and protocols, technology solutions, information security and AI policies, and professional responsibility and conflict issues that arise in the operations of Mayer Brown’s offices worldwide. She creates and oversees regulatory compliance programs for the firm, develops internal policies and procedures around technology approvals, conducts firmwide education programs covering cybersecurity and AI, privacy, information risk management and the Corporate Transparency Act, and negotiates outside counsel guidelines and engagement terms with clients. As a member of Mayer Brown’s Technology Task Force, Marcella is also responsible for risk-assessing and approving certain new technologies and software for the firm.
