Jade is an associate in Mayer Brown’s Chicago office and a member of the firm’s Restructuring practice. Jade advises on company-side restructurings, bankruptcies, and corporate governance in distressed transactions both in and out of court. Her practice also includes helping institutional lenders, bank groups and other creditors navigate complex debt transactions.

Her recent experience includes representing:
- GWG Holdings, Inc. and certain of its subsidiaries, a publicly-traded life settlements and alternative investments company with approximately $2.1 billion in debt at the time of filing, as lead debtors’ counsel, in connection with their Chapter 11 cases. This restructuring was awarded “Restructuring of the Year ($1B to $5B)” at the M&A Advisor Turnaround Awards 2023.
- Celadon Group, Inc. and certain of its subsidiaries, as lead debtor’s counsel in connection with their Chapter 11 cases. This representation was the largest trucking company bankruptcy filing in history and involved more than fifteen successful section 363 sales.
- Abengoa, S.A., Abengoa Bioenergy US Holding, LLC and Abeinsa Holding Inc. and certain of their affiliates as lead debtor’s counsel in connection with their multijurisdictional restructuring, focusing specifically on the US-based Chapter 11 and Chapter 15 cases.
- Appvion, Inc. and certain of its affiliates as lead debtors’ counsel in connection with their Chapter 11 cases.
- The joint foreign representatives of Arcadia Global (USA) Limited (in administration), the London-based operator of TopShop/TopMan retail stores, in connection with the Arcadia Chapter 15 case.
- In 2017, Katy Industries, Inc. (M&A Advisor Turnover Awards/Distressed M&A Deal of the Year (Over $50MM to $100MM)) and Rupari Food Services, Inc. (M&A Advisor Turnover Awards/Consumer Staples Deal of the Year ($10MM to $100MM) in connection with their respective successful Chapter 11 sales.
