Jason Fried is a partner in Mayer Brown's Chicago office and a member of the Real Estate group. He regularly represents pension funds, owners, developers, equity investors, private equity funds and other domestic and foreign financial institutions. His work includes a broad range of complex commercial real estate transactions across asset classes, including hotel, multi-family, senior housing, industrial, medical, commercial, and retail. He has significant experience representing clients in the acquisition, disposition, and development of individual properties and multi-asset portfolios and the creation of joint ventures for the ownership and development of real estate.
Prior to joining Mayer Brown in 2017, Jason worked for another international law firm based in Chicago. Prior to attending law school, he worked in governmental and public affairs for the Office of the Governor of the State of Illinois advising on economic, infrastructure and technology sector development.
